Power of the Paws - Thank You!

A Resounding Success!

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Chequamegon Humane Association, I extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous support of our Power of the Paws fundraiser held this past Saturday, May 9th at the Neighborly Bar.

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and your partnership helped make it our most successful ever!

With an impressive turnout, we surpassed last year’s proceeds by more than 40%. All our dogs are wagging their tails—and our hopeful cats are purring—in thanks!

Your Impact

Power of the Paws plays a vital role in our financial sustainability. This single fundraiser alone represents approximately 10% of our total annual revenue — a truly significant achievement for one event. In fact, Power of the Paws accounts for about 50% of our net fundraising revenue each year.

Every year we care for over 1,000 homeless dogs, cats, and other animals who have nowhere else to turn. In 2025 alone, our veterinary bills topped $100,000 — and those costs continue to rise! Because of dedicated supporters like you, we can provide the shelter, veterinary care, food, and love these animals need while they wait for their forever homes.

We are deeply grateful for your belief in our mission and for helping us give second chances to homeless animals in our community. Your support truly changes lives.
